As the father of two boys I can tell you the crap on TV is relentless and it just gets raunchier. It's overwhelming. It's like trying to protect your kids from the sun or air - it feels futile after a while. I'm also amazed at what they get away with. I mean everyone freaked out about a micro-second exposure of Janet Jackson's boob but all you have to do is tune into mainstream TV like the Family Guy and it makes the boob furor seem ludicrous. What REALLY bugs me is the Viagra, Cialis, and other erectile dysfunction commercials that are on between EVERY inning of every ballgame. I mean you can't even sit down with your family to enjoy something as wholesome as a ballgame without getting smacked in the face with a commercial about some leering, balding, flannel shirted guy throwing a football through a tire when the time is right. All I can hope is that the football thrower gets one of those erections that last for more than four hours so he's as uncomfortable as I am watching the damn commercial!
