Bob always said nobody could accurately call a secular bear market until it was over. He also always said he didn't have a crystal ball. I think the important thing to remember here is that no asset allocation changes were made. No recommendations were made based on the prospect of a secular bear market. It didn't really matter one way or another. As you say David, Kirk and others say they have figured out Brinker's model yet none of them ever refuted the prospect of a secular bear market. Maybe they don't really have Bob's model figured out after all.
