NEW YORK, September 17 (newratings.com) - Analysts at RBC Capital Markets maintain their "outperform" rating on F5 Networks Inc (FFIV.NAS), while reducing their estimates for the company. The target price has been reduced from $90 to $45.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the revision in the estimates reflects the closing of the $210 million Acopia Networks acquisition by F5 Networks. The operating EPS estimates for 2007 and 2008 have been reduced from $2.87 to $1.42 and from $3.46 to $1.48, respectively.

F5 Networks "neutral," estimates reduced
Robert W. Baird - Friday, September 14, 2007 5:42:16 AM ET

NEW YORK, September 14 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Robert W Baird maintain their "neutral" rating on F5 Networks Inc (FFIV.NAS), while reducing their estimates for the company. The target price is set to $40.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company has completed the Acopia Networks acquisition for $210 million in cash. Although the acquisition widens F5 Networks’ data center presence, it lies outside the company’s core skill area and hence raises near-term execution risk, the analysts say. The EPS estimates for 2007 and 2008 have been reduced from $1.05 to $1.04 and from $1.23 to $1.03, respectively.
