no offense, this sounds a bit strained.

to be able to push data at 1.2Mb down an unshielded power line
with good data integrity, reliability, and minimal interference sounds
a bit farfetched. i suspect that if this was made to work, it was
done in "lab" conditions. field work will quickly kill and/or delay
this concept for long enough that itron/cellnet will have long lived
and died a natural death...
