Michael it depends what point in the economic cycle we are in.

when you cut because you can its one thing...strength

when you cut because you have to its another...weakness

Think... commodity prices are already high and we lower rates and add liquidity .

Why would prices come down further?

The key is that rates have been forsed lower by a mortgage crisis....months before they should have been lowed.

I suggest you look at 1980 and see what tanked gold then....it was dramaticly higher rates.

but then, whats a dinner when the value of your home is going down at the same time the dollar is going down... it is double do do.
