2 in needle... time to turn around and drop them. Better that way so you don't see it coming. :)

I am not saying BCRX's line of thinking is without merit. It is possible that administration of the shot by different nurses could turn out to be the problem due to admin. technique or needle length, etc.

Cook, williamson, and Pond, 2006 did a look at BMI and needle length for the admin of intramuscular flu vac. They found that females have a thicker subQ layer than males. Which explains why males hate to ask for directions and females don't seem to mind. And for BMI < 35, 1 inch needle is good enough. For females BMI > 35, a 1.25ish needle is needed.
