Cathy,
I'm a definite moderate BUY...
I just noticed that Centura is entering into Beta a Foresite SIM that connects to IBM's MQ Series Messaging Service... Pretty cool...
Let's just see CNTR bring Infospinner into the fold and move on to make some BIG money!
Here is the text:
Register now for the ForeSite MQSeries SIM Beta
October 2, 1997 _______________________________________________________________________________
IBM's MQSeries messaging software simplifies the task of connecting applications across unlike environments. MQSeries provides a standard way for applications to communicate with each other across more than twenty-five diverse operating systems, including non-IBM platforms. More companies are turning to MQSeries to integrate their diverse systems and open up legacy data sources to new clients.
Now ForeSite takes MQSeries the rest of the way -- to the Web! The beta program is starting now for Centura's MQSeries SIM, which allows ForeSite to plug into IBM message queues. Any MQ-enabled application or data source will be available to ForeSite through this SIM. Customers will be able to use all the powerful features of ForeSite -- integration, dynamic load balancing, fault-tolerance, state and session maintenance -- to create new browser interfaces to legacy data of all types for the intranet, extranet, and internet.
Customers should consider using MQSeries and the MQSeries SIM if they want to: * Web-enable legacy data on IBM platforms with new online applications * Web-enable data sources on non-IBM platforms like Tandem, HP-UX, Solaris, VMS VAX, and others * Integrate many enterprise applications and use a Web application as new UI for the system
This first beta of the MQSeries SIM will be available in late October.
