First time my wife sat near the wings she was freaking out. I kept trying to tell her that was normal but she was having none of it. Kept saying flexible is stronger then rigid but she wasn't buying that either. We don't sit near the wing anymore:)

When I was on the submarine the hull crushes inward under pressure. In machinery 1 where I worked when we had a new guy on board we would tie a rope from one side of the room to the other on the hull about 3' off the ground and tell the new guy that was how we could tell we were getting too deep and if the rope ever sags to the deck we are all goners. Well we didn't have to get but 3/400 ft under for that rope to touch and it used to be fun watching them sweat:)
