Yes, I'm aware that iTunes will play MP3 files. In my message I was trying to convey that downloaded iTunes songs need to be converted to an MP3 file if one wants to play the songs on an MP3 player or WMP.

Your right, I didn't fully understand the original question. Can you help explain it to me?
