I've hoisted several of them out of the house since I've lived in South Bay LA. With a towel, grab them by the scruff of the neck, they'll pee, deficate and hiss then they'll "play Possum". No trouble but the clean up. They come into the house through the pet door for the cat and dog food. I always know they've been in the house when I see food in the water dish. Some of them get pretty scrowly looking, but they haven't hurt me yet. Our old cat has been nose to nose with many who were much larger than he is. I had to draw the line to him and his brother when they cornered a small racoon against the wall of a shed in the next yard one year when they were young. His brother had his face ripped up one year when we were on vacation, and the vet thought it might have been a racoon. He healed alright. Our old one however had to be hit twice by a skunk to learn his lesson. Hunting little Alpha. We think the Vet took two out of three when we had him fixed. Thank goodness we had him fixed! He has been one scrapping little codger!
