you should be happy to support the those who do not want to work, that want a helping hand for doing nothing, rent subsidies, in addition to the dole for phone, food, furniture, hd 50"tv screen, sony of course.
Actually, i got locked into higher taxes in retirement by taking the substantially equal payments from IRA for seven years till age 59 1/2 and avoid 10% early withdrawal penalties. It seemed like the right amount when i tried to project required income for seven years forward, plus inflation,plus emergency requirements. Boy, did it hurt to see uncle sam take that money at ordinary income in a much higher bracket than i ever was in before. of course mid way through the withdrawal cycle the market crashed on top of it.g
