Wrong ElM, people want freedom and the other things. They are not mutually exclusive. To the contrary, freedom leads to the things they want.

Of course, like me, people sacrifice their freedom for a certain number of hours per day while they accumulate sufficient to get the things they want. But that's just one aspect of freedom. Because they are not free during working hours doesn't mean they are keen to be unfree in other ways too, simultaneously.
