Yikes. As you undoubtedly already know, the Atkins diet is extremely dangerous over the long term. It can lead to kidney abnormalities, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, and other health problems.

If your husband really wants to keep his weight down, he could try chemotherapy, but I don't recommend that, either.
