it's not a bad device as long as your expectations are not too high Amen. i can't imagine ripping DVDs. I, OTOH, intend to rip all my DVDs so that I can have my movies on demand. Now I can watch more than one movie at a time since Apple TV remembers where I paused at each movie. It's also great for taking to the vacation home -- just plug it into the LCD when you get there, and voila! you have all your favorite movies and concerts. Perfect for the weekend getaway :) -we-
