while we may not be very happy to pay for medical care for illegal aliens, it's a public health necessity. The reason the illegals don't pay at the Hospital is because they don't have to. If it was "pay or get questioned about your legal status," guess what? They find money to pay in Mexico. And they make enough here to pay. They might have a problem paying their cable TV bill, but they would figure it out. Private Insurance works as a pool of money. Federal "Insurance" works as an open-ended money machine to the Health Care Industry.
