Kenny!!!!

I would agree with you to the extent that a true belief in the concept of "Freedom of Speech" enshrined by the Founders in the First Amendment to the US Constitution means that that Iranian monkey, Ahmadeinejad, should be allowed to speak at Columbia. After all, we are not at war with Iran and he is, for better or for worse, the titular head of a sovereign nation.

However, in a fair accounting of this situation, one must also take note of the stunning hypocrisy of the University in allowing this racist, terror-sponsoring whackjob to speak while denying a similar right to Jim Gilchrist, a Vietnam vet and founder of the Minutenman group. Moreover, the University's stated reason for denying campus access to the ROTC is due to the military's policy regarding gays. Pray tell, do you know what happens to gays in Iran?

The University made the correct choice here but it is not for the highminded reasons they cited. The Administration is a weak-kneed bunch of intellectual sissies caving in to the most PC and radical elements in the student body and faculty on campus.
