I wasn't being totally serious. However, moral awareness is common to all of humanity across time and circumstance. In other words the universality of basic good and evil is commonly agreed upon by human beings. Our conscientiousness becomes heightened in the presence of charismatic and compassionate persons. We experience not only greater awareness but increased health and well being in general, following encounters with genuinely decent messengers of goodness. It would not surprise me a bit to find out there are biological influences and changes taking place in a contagious manner with respect to the enthusiasm related to reconciliatory spiritual experiences.

Persons who bathe themselves in conscientious awareness of spiritual being are often found to have such charismatic and ‘healing’ effects on others. If contact with them was associated with a plague we would spend billions to isolate a physical organism responsible. It is not surprising that we’ve never found biological organisms associated with contagious well being, we’ve never looked for one. I've got a bottle of it for sale if you're interested ... step right up son, said the man with a silver tooth.<g>
