So much for logic. I have a feeling that those employees are going to be ruing their decisions when they find they've unionized themselves out of a job

Speaking of unionizing themselves out of a job, UAW is striking on GM.

These folks are suicidal. The union won't be satisfied until GM moves all its plants to Mexico. Perhaps the UAW workers would be more happy working as stockboys in unionized grocery stores.
