The close bilateral trade ties also mean that any prolonged U.S. economic slump will eventually filter into Canada, which prompts some analysts to predict that the currency may not spend much time around the parity level. What slump? Bush's tax cuts will cause rich people to build new factories and buy up everything in sight. We'll be booming soon.....you watch.
