Very true about methane - this is standard knowledge among atmospheric scientists and climatologists. Something like 30x the warming effect of C02.

That's why global warming is accelerating. As temperatures rise, methane is being released from bogs around the world. Many scientific papers have captured this dire feedback effect, but the impact was still unexpected. Here's an example link:

So you're right, the situation is much worse than it appears, if you just look at CO2 emissions alone.
