I was referring to Peter's earlier post where he compared the pardoning of Susan McDougal by President Clinton to that given the lady you wrote about. I don't know how we got from Tokyo Rose to Susan McDougal in a leap of logic aimed at comparing "traitors" who were pardoned, but it gave me a smile. McDougal is no saint, for sure, but in the big scheme of things the Whitewater land deal and the supposed $300,000 loan (and S and L failure too) just don't seem to deserve the infamy they have in some people's minds.
