Amazon MP3 Offers Over 2 Million Songs From More Than 180,000 Artists and Over 20,000 Labels, Including EMI Music and Universal Music Group

Aside from Universal, weren't all the rest already signed on to the DRM-free effort? This might make Apple release the DRM versions for the same price and nip this competitor in the bud.

Amazon is in an interesting position because shifting CD sales to downloads isn't going to gain any revenue. It only avoids loss of CD sales, which they will need to do eventually. In this matter, they're in a similar situation as Kodak was a few years back.
