Ascent Solar Wins $165K Contract Friday August 24, 7:21 am ET Ascent Solar Receives $165,000 Contract From National Laboratory LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) -- Ascent Solar Technologies Inc., a photovoltaic material maker, said Friday it won a $165,000 contract from a U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratory to make advanced materials and processing tools. Ascent Solar said the work could lead to reducing manufacturing costs for some of its photovoltaic materials.
