I will take your word for that. I'm a bit more optimistic about how that could be interpreted as propoganda by the Iranian people.

1. Iranian people are more likely to filter state news than you suggest. They have other sources of information and have learned to check it against the official sources for balance and accuracy.

2. If the Iranian people believed that report it seems they would be likely to interpret it as a friendly response from the American people, which might lessen the likelyhood of seeing more of those 'down with America' posters in the military parades and less fears on our side of falling nukes.

The questions were insulting, belittling, hostile, and provoking. If our president were treated that way in another country, and it were exploited by the media, it would inflame patriotic people in America. I sometimes get the feeling, you would rather see an inflamed and hostile Iranian public than a friendly and cooperative one ... is that right?
