Mr. Commish: Buffett is a "long term growth investor." How can you deny this? Why else would his ideal time to sell be never? If you're a value investor, you sell when the market wakes up and recognizes the value. How could you justify keeping a stock? If you believe in long term growth, then you keep the stock for a long time.

Aside from all that, let's recall that Buffett bought and sold USAir a few years ago for a tremendous loss. He's not perfect. Maybe if he was a technophile he'd of sunk with the rest of us on SGI. I originally bought the stuff at 28 5 years ago and look at it now!

Studying Buffett is a waste of time. The guy is from a different era. Technology is what's driving the whole market, the whole US economy. Understanding it is critical to investing success. (I'm not saying you must necessarily invest in technology companies.)

Anyway, I agree with Dipy.
