As far as I can tell, the only advantages Amazon has over Apple at this time are 1) a DRM-free Universal catalog (not sure if this is the ENTIRE catalog or only selected tracks) and 2) lower prices for DRM-free tracks ($0.89-0.99 vs. Apple's $1.29). It's no problem for Apple to compete on price should it decide to do so. IMHO, the only fly in the ointment is a recalcitrant Universal. Thus, I don't see Amazon's music download service as much of a threat for now. -we-
