Dan had his share of parents argue with him, but I have a feeling you would have been on his side, like the time he put a boy with cerebral palsy into a tie game because Dan always played kids equally (they were 9-10 years old). Mostly, though, he had waiting lists for his teams.

I am usually shy and avoid confrontations, but I took on a couple of coaches. Mothers are fearsome when it comes to unfairness toward their children. I'd rather face a tiger than a really pissed off mom, and probably a lot of coaches feel that way, too.
