(Shift-Apple-4 gets you to grab like shift-apple-3 gets you screensaver) Are you sure? You might have enabled hot keys for the screen saver. In that case it'll over ride the default. By default shift-apple-3 is screen dump - to confirm, I just tried this on iMac, G5 Tower and Powerbook; it works.
