In the west, its hard to imagine what you describe being a women's choice, yet the more i see in the islamic world many women seem more content than the women we have here with their multiple conflicting responsiblities. In the bible it says somewhere, (i think) Thank God i am not a women. Ditto that. I am amazed at what western women have to do. And they still dont know how to drive. (g)
Getting back to muslim world and women, it seems its more repressive (in taliban case much more) but not all that different from orthodox branches of judiasm and christianity.
