Yes, American prisons and prisoners are a real problem. However, I need to tell you, Gustav, you need to stop with the American bashing. First of all, if we were to default with our position in the world, there is no one who is stupid, strong and rich enough to pick the reigns. Europe would be in big trouble......as you well know, the big black bear to the east of you is awakening from his slumber......extremely re invigorated and sassy......and he has one hand on the spigot that controls your heat supply.
Secondly, as screwed up as the US is, this world can't afford to lose us. And we are seriously screwed up......in debt up to our eyeballs, nearly as divided as we were before the Civil War, leaderless...with no vision, a president who is drinking again and who is more worried about his legacy than he is the country, and one of two political parties that is terribly corrupted and confused while the other has been weakened by years of verbal abuse from the first party. Europeans like yourself need to back off and do what you can to help us......because we are floundering badly and ready to sink. |
