Yup, these iMacs are fairly quiet. The original G3 iMacs used completely passive cooling, but since then, they've acquired fans. The first gen. G5 iMacs were actually pretty noisy. And, if I recall correctly, Doren's G5 mirror door tower was noisy.

Now that I've learned here that the newer iMacs are quieter than these G5s, I've got another reason to upgrade.
