Alpha males don't tend to have 180 IQ. Human life is a little more complex than that. Keeps it interesting.

The way to understand human mating is to look at what young people do. The vast majority pair off effortlessly while still quite young, based on things which are ineffable to the rest of us. They are attracted to each other by youth and beauty and character and joy. The belief that they will have joy and satisfaction in each other's being forever.

The women who go, calculatedly, after men with big wallets are quite different, indeed. In younger days, we called them at best gold-diggers and at worst, whores.

Most of them are used and damaged goods.

Marry young, and remain married to the spouse of your youth, that's my take on it.

(Admittedly, a young man with a job and a car is more attractive than a young man who spends his days playing video games, but even so, smart young women will go for the guy who studies hard and makes good grades, or a budding young entrepreneur, who, at that age, is hardly an alpha male, at least not yet.)

(Established alpha males just want to stick their dicks into young women, there's no future there, just the "opportunity" to be the slut of the day.)
