Re limits of academic power.Funny, the events of this week would seem to disprove that.

And if you want to talk money lets look at central banks and those who influence policy.

gov depends on academia...look at research grants and special advisors.

just because your dad did not think that academia had power does not mean it to be true.

Take wilson or keynes for examples...their names live on in history as the shapers of their worlds.

perhaps you might try learning a view from several different perspectives....

ps i will grant you that there are a lot of big egos out there .
