great post on FADG by el gaviero
Today, I don’t think you all are focusing on the important issues.
(Also, as an aside, I think you all spend too much time responding to Nadine Carroll. No common ground is possible with her. She suffers from a curious form of autism. Her strategy is to deal with other human beings in a manner that permits her never to have to get outside of herself. Suppose, for example, a person or group has an item that she wants. She strikes a blow and tries to take it by force. When those who are struck fight back, as invariably happens, she sees them as being anti-Semites, and thinks to herself that they stand in her way, and strike her BECAUSE they are anti-Semitic. This strategy is one that I think of as a curious form of autism because it is hermetic. She never has to deal with The Other (i.e. people falling into the category of “them”) except through violence -- which she initiates -- but which she always sees as THEIR fault. As a strategy it is weird, sick and extremely dangerous.)
Although this aside about Nadine was a bit longer than intended, maybe it is useful. Nadine has one value. She is a good example of the mind-set that we face. Our military and our government have been penetrated by people who think the way she does. She and they are now part of our reality, which they have made into one that is very, very dangerous.
The topic that I think that we have failed to chew over enough concerns the five nuclear Cruise missiles loaded “by accident” on a B-52. See this for an account:
earthboppin.net.
We have no way of knowing whether or not this account is true, but we do know that somebody loaded nuke-tipped missiles on a B-52 and then flew to Louisiana, and we also know that somebody leaked information about the event. Recall what Franklin Roosevelt said: nothing in politics ever happens by chance. Quite right, which means, with this story there is a hard kernel of fact that has to be explained -- five live nukes and a leak. I see this as a brief withdrawing of the curtain, allowing us a glimpse into a realm we don’t see often. Behind the curtain are signs of conflict between Americans and neo-cons (which as usual I define as Cheney-type goyem with a totalitarian bent, Zionist Jews, and very likely the Mossad).
Conflict is emerging, as apparently opposition to the neo-cons is beginning to form. As I say, this is serious business. It appears that elements in the Air Force pulled off an act of major resistance. But there are other signs of resistance as well. Take a tiny, almost inconsequential occurrence. Did you all see the snippet of Michael Scheuer on television the other day, in which he said that Israel was not worth the life of one American soldier or of one American dollar? Key here is the confidence with which he made these assertions, as he poked a stick into the eye of the neo-cons with verve and confidence. I think this is a small but not trivial event for a person like Scheuer, who is part of the game up there in Washington. He is sending a message to other Americans in the military – don’t be afraid, the fight is going public.
Another slant on the same basic theme is a speech by Daniel Ellsberg. antiwar.com
(((I have to give credit where credit is deserved, that is, I have to recognize that Ellsberg, a Jew, is also an American of the highest order.))))
The speech he gave was magnificent, truly a great, penetrating and important event.
The only place where I disagree with Ellsberg is about the coup. He talks about a coup that is being set up to take place. My opinion is that the coup HAS ALREADY TAKEN PLACE. 9/11 should be thought of as a quasi-internal coup by members of the military, in alliance with Israel, against the American constitution.
Some Americans in key places are beginning to let themselves see what is happening, which is a very encouraging turn of events. In the realm of dealing with brutal people who hold the reins of power in their hands, recognition takes maybe just about as much courage as does action. |
