I wouldn't count on today's move as proof that earnings will be great. I've seen stocks rally to new highs just before earnings announcements only to recapitulate the very next day and drop like a rock once earnings actually do come out. If the ones "in-the-know" were so sure about the earnings, why haven't they been accumulating these last few days? Could it be they want to lure the suckers in so they can unload before the crash? I stand by my prediction that the stock will fall. Unless ADTN has been keeping everything secret, there's been no proof in the technicals that this weeks announcement is expected to surprse the street. Even if they did surpise by a cent or two, the stock would still be WAY overvalued at this price.
