For about 5 or 6 years now, I've felt that management could care less about shareholder value (clearly). They seemed primarily focused on keeping the lights on and not making too big a loss in any given quarter, conserving cash--up until they bought out their JV, and holding onto a very narrow slice of the networking market. 3Coms property/real estate is probably worth more than Bain is paying, but it doesn't surprise me that this is how its ending. This is gonna trigger a massive tax loss for me whenever it goes through, I just wish I had a gain to offset. :(
