"Man, you must be getting screwed when you get your house built for 300... geez, the richer you are, the dumber you are I guess! A house is to be lived in, not a piggybank... I like that quote. Not including land, a house can easily be built for 100 to 150 with some upgrades. What people don't understand is that if you go with the cheaper builder it will take longer because they won't be as good and you get a lousy job done, if you go with the really expensive builder, he's just taking you for a ride... choose in between and get your references and plan plan plan. A great builder will cost more but be done faster, it will almost work itself out and you'll get a better product. Don't listen to those that have been taken and won't be able to sell for what they paid for another 5 years. You won't get a poor house for under 150, it's just that the no speaky english builders work for a living, not ripping off stupid rich people."
