Albert and all,

I am sorry to say, that while I have been long on AMD for all of this time, I have lost hope. I still do believe that AMD has a chance to increase market share in 1998, but I do not think that they will make money anytime soon.

Jerry and Co are debating whether AMD will make money for the year, ie they very well may make less than .05 in Q4! Even if yields increase, productin will not quite double, and ASPs are falling.

I think AMD is headed downward for the short term, the intermediate term, but there is hope for the long term.

I am selling off and taking my losses (there should be a bump in stock with Microprocessor Report announcemnts)

PS I think Intel will be down, I am sure that their profits are hurt by the lowball pricing.

Sad and Poorer,
Ajay
