Re: "It is true that while we care about competition for the consumers' sake, antitrust policy is not directly about consumers," he said carefully

Look, that's one man's opinion, but it's an insightful analogy. The FACT is that antitrust laws were created to protect THE CONSUMER.

ROTFLOL! Are you effing kidding me?

It's MIT economics professor Franklin Fisher, man! The dude has 733t ski11z!

Again, LINK PLEASE. I know it's shocking when reality collides with your desire-based world model, but you're simply wrong.

I'll repeat, with added emphasis: Protecting consumers is one of many desirable effects that occur when competition is protected.

The economy is protected. The ability to innovate is protected. And yes, consumers are protected too.

VIA THE PROTECTION OF COMPETITION.

I provided a couple of links. Did you even bother to click on one? There's plenty of history, theory and precedent behind them, and I only posted a tiny slice of what I found.

Another fact is that competition is healthy in the consumer PC microprocessor space, and it has been for decades.

Sure, if you ignore and deny all of that silly antitrust activity that's taking place all around the world...

Seriously wbmw, does it hurt your back when you twist and spin like this?
