All the issues present in my prior laptops were immediately fixed by Apple under Applecare or extended warranty programs.

my Macbook issues have been fixed, but it is still a pain in the ass to have to send it off for repairs every few months. yes, AppleKare does a good job, but in 15 years i never needed Toshiba customer support. what does that say? Apple gets better rating because Toshiba users never have experience with tech support.

and for my latest issue with my iMac (faulty DVD drive), Apple refuses to repair it despite my AppleKare plan (it is absolutely necessary to get AppleKare due to Macs' poor reliability, and the price of AppleKare should be included when comparing to an actually reliable Wintel brand). instead, they insist i take it into AppleStor to be evaluated by AppleKlerk. further waste of time.

Apple's laptops lately have had issues but the biggest were because of faulty batteries not Apple design flaws.

it would be just like Apple to blame their problems on someone else. but perhaps you should familiarize yourself with some of the many, MANY problems with Macbooks. macbookrandomshutdown.com
