BUT San Fran certainly could take some lessons on using the Ajax and Mr. Clean....And by that, I mean the citizens, NOT the Government.... About 6 years ago, my wife and I took our daughters (aged 13 and 3 then) and the older kid's friend to SFO. We stayed at the downtown Marriott, right off Market. Had to sidestep bums panhandling just down the street from the hotel. Very aggressive types. San Francisco is not a family friendly place. I would never take kids there again, and would never go there myself (because of the political bent of the people and government there). Sad, cause I lived there for a year in the '70s and enjoyed it very much.
