I really doubt Consumer Reports... In my experience... everybody's individual case is an anecdote. you had a good experience (although you turn a blind eye to the defective battery and don't include it in your assessment of Apple's products, even though it is an important part of their products); i have had a bad experience (actually many). big deal. the idea behind a large-scale survey of the kind done by CR is to cut through the anecdotes and find statistically significant differences in product reliability. CR shows Apple as being less reliable than Lenovo. do you really think your handful of anecdotes is more meaningful than 75,000 handfuls of anecdotes? Apple reminds me of a religion, and not in a good way.
