not really, because, at least in the case of china, by all accounts, by second accounts, very risk averse, and so it would really only be buyers at the bottom, when usa treasury officials go to beijing, begging cup in hand ... well, you get the picture ... i am not a gold bug, but a gold bull and i expect the china sovereign fund to buy some gold, and should it do so, other sovereign funds will likely do same
