Card provider runs out of plastic -

Alan O'Sullivan, Financial Mail on Sunday
30 September 2007

Morgan Stanley customers have been kept waiting for weeks for new cards - because the bank's supplier has run out of plastic.

Over the past six weeks, about 20,000 cardholders seeking to renew their expired cards have been fobbed off with excuses.
But this weekend, Morgan Stanley, with 2m cardholders in Britain, admitted delivery had been delayed due to 'production issues beyond our control, which meant the plastic was not manufactured on time'. It declined to name the manufacturer.
