Reading my "Internet Diary" on this thread is helpful, since my real time "emotion and feeling" were recorded here, it helps to review the stocks I bought/sold and understand the mistakes I made, as well as success. Mr. Market humbled me in 2004 and 2005, so I had given up short-term trading based on my model signals. Instead, I have been focusing on stock picking - the small tech stocks that are undervalued and with good potential. I had been always in the stock market but keeping a distance in the last two years(avoid day to day temptation to trade), it has been working well. I was up about 23% in 2006, and up 23% YTD 2007, with no leverage/margin, and about 25% turnover annually. The model portfolio is up about 400% now from the start. I think it will probably continue to run up since some core tech holdings have just started to move up.
