One more whack at it. Agrium (AGU) is another obvious choice for an ag play. They're even Canadian, another plus. I don't know about their financials but I have had a front row seat to their expansion into U.S. ag market, buying such firms as Western Farm Service out of Fresno, CA several years ago. Oops, I guess this is a negative, particularly since they pay out a tiny dividend. Even though they're up 100% over the past year, they still trail POT's performance by 100%. finance.yahoo.com Note that DBA is trailing the pack by a mile. I also included MOS - Mosaic. Never heard of them but they're booming. they come up as a competitor when I typed in AGU.
