Hi Roger. I think he must have meant CGZ when he said WWS. And even that figure is out of date (i.e., 21.9%). I believe CGZ is now down to being about a 15% shareholder of KGFC (though that could be lower, or higher after the lastest plummet to a nickel!).

If I am correct in this, then I also question his other information regarding KGFC. As I say, I am away from all my stuff.
I realize it's not all too important; I'm just puzzled.

Cheers,

PS- I just found where he got his wrong info, the KGFC PR of Dec.2/96:

...World Wide has agreed to acquire from Central Asia Goldfields the 7,024,000 common shares (21.9%) held by that company in Kazakstan Goldfields for 6,672,800 World Wide common shares (a ratio of 0.95 World Wide common shares for each one Kazakstan Goldfields common share).

As I posted (#296), on Dec.20/96 the deal was cancelled:

...World Wide Minerals, Kazakstan Goldfields and Central Asia Goldfields have agreed to cancel the proposed business combination of World Wide and Kazakstan Goldfields. In addition, World Wide will not purchase the stake in Kazakstan Goldfields held by Central Asia Goldfields, or that company's interest in the Gold Pool JV.
