ick. You are correct, they do that and I personally think it is an unjust and corrupted application of religion. Not too unlike the justification some of those same folk use for bombing innocents.

What you have to learn to accept as an unpleasant fact is that a rather large swath of Muslims, called "Takfiri" or "Salafi", do not find it a corruption of their religion, but rather a straightforward application of it. The Koran certainly supplies the "sword verses" to support this interpretation.

Shall we go through the list of signatories, and figure out how many are Saudi Salafis? I wouldn't be surprised to find it's more than half. Saudi money supports most of the mosques in this country, and with the money comes control.
