In gun fights people often miss the first shot. If you miss with the taser and the other guy has a gun, your screwed when he shoots again.

Also 10 meters is the maximum ranger. While handguns are frequently used at less than that range, but not always, and they are probably significantly less accurate near their maximum range.

And very minimal cover will block a taser shot.

Generally if one person has a gun and the other has a taser, the person with the gun has the advantage (assuming everything else is equal).

Also hunting doesn't work well with a taser, target shooting is less interesting, and people armed with tasers provide less of a theoretical protection against tyranny than if they where armed with guns.
