If the turks helped, i would bet that saudis approved as well.

We know they did because neither the Saudis nor the rest of the Arab League uttered a peep of protest. Most abnormal.

Now if the US can bring Israel to the table and the saudis the palestinians and some sort of sustainable deal can be forged, the raison d'etre of the iran push into the region goes away. Checkmate

No and no. The Saudis can't push the Pals to live next to Israel because they are ideologically committed to the Pals replacing Israel. Whatever soothing lies their emissaries in the west say, their actions confirm that nothing has changed. For them, like for Abu Mazen, the peace process is useful only if it pries concessions out of the Israelis. Peace is not the aim and won't happen.

As for Iran, they don't give a hoot about the Palestinians. Israel is only the "Little Satan". Their raison d'etre is the "Great Satan". That's us. Imagine the world without Zionism and without America, like Ahmedinijad keeps saying. They would regard an Israeli/Pal peace settlement, if by some miracle it happened, as a major defeat. So would the Arabs. This is the part you never get.
